This is an antique Seascape Oil Painting, Maritime art, XXth Century. Art Deco. This is an antique painting,

from the Art Deco period, representing a seascape, a stretch of the Ligurian or Azure Coast Riviera coastline.

This oil painting on canvas has an original carved and lacquered wooden frame, Montparnasse,

original and coeval with the antique painting. Early 1900s. 

The ancient painting is signed by M. Ghersi, Italian landscape and marine painter.

Mimina Ghersi (1889-1971) known as Guglielmina was a Ligurian painter from Genoa who died in Santa Margherita Ligure.

She frequented Carlo Fornara, who was to become her master and thanks to him she began to learn the techniques of pointillism.

She loved painting Marines the Ligurian Riviera and Landscapes. He exhibited in numerous Ligurian exhibitions,

in 1916 and was present with his paintings eight times at the Society of Fine Arts in Genoa.

Then in 1926 he was present at the Chiavarese Exhibition of Modern Art and in 1930 at the Exhibition of 30 Artists in Genoa.

He also exhibited at the Quadriennale in Turin in 1923. He had many personal exhibitions in Genoa, Santa Margherita Ligure and Stresa.

He was also present at the 3rd Fascist Regional Trade Union Exhibition in 1932 and the 4th Interprovincial Trade Union Exhibition in 1933.

Landscape art work, XX Century. The frame and the painting are restored.

The oil on canvas painting dates back to the twentieth Century and it is an artwork of
