Still life painting with a branch of red cherries. It also has a gold leaf frame realised in the late nineteenth century.

The oil on canvas painting dates back to the nineteenth Century and it takes part of Bisgart Collection of Antique Paintings of the 19th Century.

This still life oil painting is signed by Jules J. Olivier De Cocquerel (1838-1903), franch painter.

Olivier De Cocquerel  was a painter of portraits, landscapes, still life, flowers and fruits. Study at the "Des Beaux-Arts de Lyon" school,

he exhibited his works in Lyon from 1861 and from 1876 he began to exhibit at the "Salon de Paris".

In 1894 he obtained the first prize in Lyon. In addition, many of the painter's works can be found in the Lyon "des Beaux-Arts" museum
