Barret Marius Antoine (1865-1929), was born in Marseille. He paints and printed matter mainly of Portrait Paintings, Nudity Paintings, Still Life.

He exhibited his works at the "Salon des Artistes Français" and obtained a silver medal in 1928 and an award in 1923.

The gilded frame is contemporary with the painting.
