This is a portrait artwork with Woman And Cat in a nineteenth-century room. This interior oil painting has an original gold leaf frame realised in the 1800s.

The antique painting is signed Leleux Armand a French painter. Leleux Armand Hubert Simon (1818-1895), was born in Paris and was a pupil of Ingres

with whom he makes a trip to Rome. He exhibited at the "Salon De Paris" where he received many medals in 1844, 1847, 1848 and in 1859.

He stays in Germany and Switzerland where he participates in all the exhibitions of these countries. Its interiors are highly regarded.

On the back of the painting, on the wooden board there is written a date July 1876 and the place where it was painted,

in the "Château de Tarasp Grisons Suisse" in Switzerland.

The oil on canvas painting dates back to the nineteenth Century and it is an artwork  of Bisgart Collection of Antique Paintings of the 19th Century.
