early 1900s, Art Deco. It is a composition with a ceramic  vase decorated with a beautiful bouquet of Anemones flowers,

painted in bright, warm colours. The antique painting is dressed in a carved and lacquered wooden frame,

Montparnasse from the early 20th century. Antique paintings with flowers, still life of flowers 

signed bottom right L. Bonamici (1878-1966) naturalised French painter, but born in Livorno, Italy.

Louis Bonamici (1878-1966) painted landscapes, seascapes, harbours, as well as still lifes of flowers.

He loved painting Provence bathed in sunlight. He uses the painting technique known as 'au couteau'.

He participated in many exhibitions from 1907 to 1935 in Martigues, Cannes, Nice, Toulon, Paris et Marseille.

He travelled extensively in Italy Gecia North AmericaI and Africa.

In the 1930s, Louis Bonamici moved to Le Lavandou where he stayed until his death.

The antique frame and the oil painting are restored.
