Original 20th century patina. Epoch first half of the 20th century.
The work expresses strength, elegance and physical agility. The sculpture is signed on the base J. De Roncourt.
Jean De Roncourt (1869-1937) was a French sculptor active in the period between the 1920s and 1930s.
We have little information about the artist's life, but his works depict athletic male figures,
expressing power, vigour and dynamism.
The sculpture proposed here is in antimony, a zinc-based alloy, which was patinated to imitate bronze.
